The work depicts a large, multi-generational Earth ship (the journey is a remarkable one, requiring the time of several generations), constructed with a huge rotating cylinder to achieve a gravitational effect within it through centrifugal motion. The perception inside is intended to resemble natural terrestrial environments, but the sky would be at the center of the structure and the ground applied toward the outside.
In the background is an extraterrestrial planet similar to Earth.
