Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, is seen alongside two of its closest satellites: Europa and Io. The chosen perspective is the shadow line. Jupiter is gaseous, but perhaps has a hot core. The bands of different colors and the Red Spot are produced by extremely fast winds that continuously mix the various chemical substances, creating characteristic colors.
The satellite Io, shown here more distant in perspective, is so close to Jupiter that it is heated and exhibits numerous volcanic phenomena.
Europa is at the second orbital level and is an icy satellite, with numerous cracks in its crust and a deep ocean of liquid water beneath the ice.
