2009 WAVES GENESIS OF THE COSMOS (polyptych in 7 parts) – wave 1 cm 50×50 + wave 2 cm 50×60 + wave 3 cm 50×50 + wave 4 cm 50x 50 + wave 5 cm 50×60 + wave 6 cm 50×100 + wave 7 cm 100x 50. ( total cm 400 x 100). Double canvas cut of linen and cotton, acrylic color worked by brush, Crystal resin.
The work symbolically represents, using the figure of the movement of water, the evolutionary phases of the genesis (Big Bang) of the known universe.
The technical form is inspired by the famous tsunami wave by the ancient Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, reworked for this purpose. Even the number 7 is symbolic (the infinite), as are the numbers contained in the design of the canvases.
All canvases are double because the wave design is cut out in relief, painted on the lower canvas as well as on the upper canvas and filled with resin.
