1997 – triptych, 60×84 cm + 60×60 cm + 60×84 cm, acrylic paint, small gold leaf inserts, worked with a brush and by hand.
The work is a tribute to the exploration of the planet Mars. It has a markedly horizontal layout, divided into three parts.
I inserted two small gold leaf reliefs as a tribute to the Pathfinder and Sojourner rovers.
This celestial body has a history similar to Earth’s, but is smaller, with a gravity of about one-third, a tenuous atmosphere, seasons, and polar ice caps of water and carbon dioxide. It has been explored by artificial probes since 1960.
