2025 – 174×90 cm – linen canvas – acrylic colors painted with brush and by hand. The canvas is simply held in place using Velcro strips. It can be rolled up without a frame.
The work represents a project dreamed of for many years: the human exploration of other stars, orbited by Earth-like planets, suitable for life but without other civilizations. This way, Earth travelers could relocate there after spending two or more generations, since the journey would be extremely long and a lifetime would not be enough.
This experience would bring with it many problems to solve, both technical and social and environmental. It could be a valuable opportunity to address many aspects of life on Earth, by designing a small-scale replica.
I painted the large ship with two gravitational rings, to provide a means of escape in the event of damage to one ring.
