2026 – 94 x 64 cm – brush-painted linen canvas, acrylic and iridescent colors.
It depicts Earth at the time of the Artemis 2 mission (April 1-10, 1926), with its lunar orbit exploration trajectory and a crew of four, without landing on the Moon, to verify all the data for the next mission, in which the astronauts would return to the surface of our natural satellite. Everything went according to plan, safely.
The canvas depicts the Earth and the Moon seen from a position farther than the Artemis spacecraft’s orbit. Two small spacecraft are also depicted, one heading toward the Moon and one returning to Earth. While the night side of the Moon is completely dark during this phase, the night side of the Earth is illuminated by the reflection of moonlight.
